Why We Love This Property
These are the owner’s favourite things…
 
Location, location, location.  Proximity to the hill is just perfect.  Our unit is private yet close to the action. We rejected units in the village which were more like hotel rooms in favour of having the village to walk to. The views of the hills lit up at night are spectacular, and views of the golfers are really fun.  Our unit is readily visible from the top of the hills. Blue Mountain is exactly 1.5 hour drive from our door, so it is really easy to make spontaneous trips.  Plus, it is a beautiful, easy drive.
 
The patio is AMAZING.  It gets all the afternoon sunlight until the very end of the day, so summer evenings are long and memorable.  My kids enjoyed throwing the ball, playing soccer, appetizers, and BBQ. Our patio beat the village restaurant patios hands-down.
 
Being a ground floor unit means that when you open the door, you’re THERE.  As soon as you walk in, you see the FUN sign, and the lawn and hills straight out the back door, you’re all into the fun mode.  There are no giant staircases to drag your luggage and groceries.
 
The best spots in the house are the living room with the fireplace, lounging in the big bedrooms on lazy mornings and evenings. And we all argue over who gets the seat at the breakfast island that looks out over all the windows. During the pandemic lockdown, Paul really enjoyed working at the dining room table with views of the hills and golf course.  We also use that table for endless board games like Monopoly, so we don’t have to move the pieces at mealtimes.
 
Village restaurant dinners are always fun, and walking the dogs to the village to get coffee or ice cream to enjoy by the millpond was a regular thing for us.  It is always fun to see what was going on in the village at the bandshell.  Also, the annual Pond Skim is a blast for the boys. 
 
We have truly enjoyed this place for the last 9 (almost 10) years. It was a joy from the moment we bought it, a gathering spot where it was easy to entertain guests. It always felt safe to allow the boys and their friends to ski on their own, and walk to the Village with some change for the candy store. It has been an easy place to enjoy, to maintain, and to socialize.
