Collingwood Trails

Collingwood TrailsCollingwood’s growing network of Trails now exceeds sixty kilometers of well-marked trails and is a great way to get around town and see the sights. The trails are four-season, multi-use paths for walkers, joggers, cyclists, skiers and snowshoers.

The Georgian Trail

The Georgian Trail is a 34 km trail following the old rail route of the original Northern Railway. Great for hiking, cross country skiing and cycling, it stretches from Collingwood’s Harbourview Park to the waterfront in Meaford. The trail cuts through some of the region’s best features, the mountain, waterfront, apple orchards and beaches.

Kolapore Forest

See website for details.

Metcalfe Rock

Metcalfe Rock is one of Ontario’s oldest climbing areas, an outcrop of the Niagara Escarpment located just outside of Collingwood. This limestone cliff reaches heights of over 100 ft. in sections and offers climbing routes of all grades and styles. Access is easy and a parking lot is just off the road. An extra bonus is the crevices and caves that surround it. Free Spirit Tours and On the Rocks offer guided tours for climbing and caving in this area.
